I sat on this project for over a year and a half after my friends had a little fun talk on who does out Vendetta main cast would wear the cloth of the 5 Bronze Saints from Saint Seiya. It was too fun of a idea for me to pass up a drawing of that, so here it is. Plus, I always love the Version 1 designs of the Saint Cloths from the original 1986 anime, so I go with that for this fun pace.
We determined what do they best have in common to wear the Cloths from each Bronze Saints:
Nicky Vendetta + Pegasus Cloth (Seiya) - Protagonist of their series
Randy Havoc + Cygnus Cloth (Hyoga) - Cryokinetics
Tatsu Seiryuu + Dragon Cloth (Shiryu) - The calmest of the group, lung dragon theming
Roxie Estrella + Andromeda Cloth (Shun) - The youngest of the group, looks up to the loner
Xander Eisenzahn + Phoenix Cloth (Ikki) - The edgy loner of the group
I haven't planned to add Velnias as Saori, but when I finally determined to finish this piece, I decided to add her at the last minute after I finished with the flat coloring phase.
Ironically, Tatsu has more in common with Shun since they're both pacifistic, kindhearted, and have some femininity. But Roxie have little to nothing with Shiryu, so it didn't feel right to give her the Dragon Cloth, and I have no complaints with this choice we went with.
Lastly, I like to give a shoutout to the late Nobuo Yamada, the lead singer of Make-Up, the Japanese band who brought us legendary bangers, Pegasus Fantasy and Blue Forever. He left this world of August 9, 2025. Pegasus Fantasy is one of my most favorite anime themes of all time, and I especially love the Latino version by Mauren Mendo, to which we know that Saint Seiya is extremely popular in Latin American regions. If it wasn't for this song that swims around my head recently, I would never finish this fun piece.
