Trying out different things for my style!
I thought it'd also be a neat idea to keep the rough draft lines I create when I begin a drawing, as well as being a little more loose with linework and coloring. Yeah they teach you to color inside the lines as a kid, but you don't have to comply. Just draw and try different things. Who cares.
I've also decided that when I'm too lazy to drum up a background, I'm gonna use photos I've taken and I'm gonna mess around with them until they feel right as a background. Now that I have a lot more space irl too, I've been picking up crafting materials, old digital cameras, and I'm looking to experiment a lot more with different tools to mix in with traditional/digital art.
I've always loved to capture the feeling of a moment, being able to look back at photographs and remember the thoughts and feelings I was filled with then.
Even on your laziest cutting corner days, you don't have a need to resort to AI. There's an endless ocean all in your head. Exercise it.
