I don't know aboit that. I'm sure we'll see more. But wanting some apace isn't unhealthy. I like the dynamic of psychic bonds from a narrative standpoint. But I can imagine it can get taxing for introverts or people who need isolation to clear their minds and reset. It'll ultimately depend on some of the extenuating circumstances surrounding their relationship. Both from an external and internal perspective, because we don't know what stray thoughts Wave may have been catching. I can imagine it maybe one of the difficulties of a psychic partner of not having privacy in your pwn mind. It's east for people to forget some of the normal and naturally self destructive or angry thoughts we edit out of our minds by not indulging in them. Like having road rage or other smaller bursts of unhealthy thoughts. If forget which comic it was, but Sethtriggs did a good scene encapsulating this them. Their character Goldbloom I believe was dealing with isolation and depression and was tentatively using hir neighbhors happiness as a substitute to stave off her depreasion. Ultimately ending up negatively affecting them with her depression even if just briefly. I think these sorts of scenarios generally aren't considered when dipecting psychic relationships because their generally unattractive to see and read. This might actually be Wave's fault for being hyper dependant on her trainer and inadvertantly pushing them away. It's easy for us to look at this from a genre angle and blame the trainer by default. While it is ideal to step up and endeavor to take care of your partner, it's unrealistic to expect people to be perfect all the time. Especially if one person is constantly caring for the other's mental well being. That can turn into a care taker role and not a romantic partner one. Feasibly breeding resentment. It might be that Wave was ill suited for the nature of the relationshop the two had, either as romantic partners or even just gym/combat partners and the two just weren't experienced enough to take a step back in a healthy way in time befoe the relationship imploded.
