It's was 10 o'clock in the little village outside the city of Silveria and many young couples had begun to take their leave of the lantern lit, snow covered park. Many of these couples left hand-in-hand while others left in more emotional states with some carrying their females close to their chest after successful condessions of affection. Karthrina sat idle on a park bench ment which lay decorated with small lanterns popular for young couples glancing at them nervously as they walked away, her three large tails taking up most of the seating space. The night sky twinkled with the light dusting of snow that began to come down, she had begun to get restless, maybe this wasn't such a good idea. "Sigh...why am I here...there is nobody coming to court me in this place. The scent of these couples are incredibly annoying...acting all loveydovey...getting presents...sharing dinner and probably other stuff..." sighed Karthrina as she kicked some snow with her boots.

She wasn't always like this, she was a well trained assassin and took great pride in her work as well as her clan. However, life for her had felt more complicated once she was met with a situation during a job that forced her to accept her mortality sooner thsan she expected despite her skill. "The marks are almost gone...so I should be at ease and my pride as a member of the Nachtnebel is still intact, but..." whispered Karthrina to herself as she watched a young couple walk by kissing one-another, their tails entwined causing her turn away in envy. "..It's not fair...I want that too...I want that same affection. Why is it so difficult to grasp? Ahh...why did I bother getting this silly outfit...I just want one complement...JUST ONE! That's ALL I WANT!" groaned Karthrina burying her head in one of her tails until a familar voice startled her. "Oh hey Karina! Longtime no see! Marihea said you were in town. I wasn't expecting to see you here of all places...whoa...your..." spoke the male voice that began to trail off prompting her to look up. "HUH? W-why are you here Felix and what's with that look?" she replied noticing the red on the mans cheeks.

"Uhh...it's just your outfit looks really cute on you. It matches your eyes and suits you...alot actually hehe...oh yeah. I have a little something here for you that I was gonna give you back at the house but as you're here..." replied Felix as she took a large parcel out from his bag, setting it on her lap. Karthrina cocked her head to the side causing on of her ears to drop to the side showcasing her curiousity at what she just recieved, "What's this for?" asked Karina in an excited tone tryong her best not to wag her tails. "Well...it's just a little thank you gift for everything you've done for Marihea and I. Don't open it yet though, otherwise I'll not hear the end of it from Lily as she wants to there when everyone opens their presents. She'll probably be late arriving as I sent her back home with an additional request for her to do for me. Just don't ask how I got her to fulfil my request, apparently she knows Marihea someway or another and simply wanted a picture of us. Weird I know..." answered Felix in a cheery tone.

Karthrina stared at him straight into his eyes with a fierce gaze "What the HECK do you mean Lady Rhodochrosite, the radiant queen of the Pearl Valley Falls did a job for you? DO YOU EVEN REALISE WHO SHE IS?!" complained Karthrina. "Uhh...nope...all I know is Alice is Lily's mum that's...kinda it..." replied Felix nervously. "Y-You! Oh whatever...maybe it'll be alright. Just don't go saying her first name casually as you just did. You could end in up in a dangerous situation if the wrong people hear you speak of her. Also what's wrong, you're acting strange." continued Karthrina looking him up and down. "Can I please sit down? I've been on my feet for 2 hours already...and umm...maybe I could borrow a tail?" replied Felix meekly placing his hands together into a praying pose. Karthrina mearly burst out laughing after hearing his response and took a deep breath afterwards, cleared her throat. "Sure you can...but I'd like a little something else in return if you catch my drift..." she blushed brushing the fur on two of her tails with another hanging above her head with what looked to be mistletoe hanging from the tip.

"When did that get...Ohh...uh...ahem...I suppose once is fine considering our circumstances..." replied Felix as he rested beside the scarlet-haired kitsune. "I take it you'd like me to do the cooking when we get back to everyone back at the house? Huh? Did you miss my cooking that much..." teased Karthrina wrapping a tail around him her ears folding down. "A little...bit...don't tell Marihea though...she still tries her best." sighed Felix with a smile as the kitsune pressed more of her weight on the young man prompting him to fulfil his part of their deal. The pair got off the bench close together and drifted towards the park exit in the late night like many couples Karthrina had seen earlier, warming her heart 'it may be a temporary partnership we have...but I don't mind getting to experience these feelings every now and with you at least...' smiled Karthrina enjoying the private moment between them.
