Armored Mint + Therrigon Lore Dump
Officially, Mint is no longer available as an adoptable.
Anyways, lore:
I've mentioned before that the main therrigon species came about through druidic intervention. These beast-shaper druids would take powerful human warriors and turn them into this new type of creature, modelled from tales of an ancient sun goddess. Their first creation was the progenitor of Chai's family, Applegloam, a perfect proof of concept for the might and majesty they sought to sculpt. In some ways, too perfect.
Most of the therrigon progenitors they created following Applegloam only settled on adequate, more powerful than any natural creature to be sure, but pale imitations of the warrior queen they had struck gold with. This was to be expected, Applegloam in her human life was an unmatched dragon hunter, she would have even been capable of besting the feats of her new kin. Frostleaf, however, was a sterling silver medal. While Applegloam surpassed her kin in most attributes sought after in a dragon hunter: Strength, Endurance, Agility, Senses, etc. Only Frostleaf could best her in Toughness, and still managed to keep up considerably well in the other attributes.
Centuries later, due to rising conflicts after humanity had been spared the tyranny conflicts and warmongers stepped into the power vacuum, one of Applegloam's heirs stepped forward to claim the role of Queen of the Therrigon, a title without the land or army to defend this title. Her role was more akin to an ambassador, dissuading the disparate therrigon families from becoming the weapons of these new despots. The Frostleaf family found themselves split by their new queen's command. Some gladly became her knights, others became mercenaries in a foolish attempt to avenge the status of their forebearer as second fiddle to Applegloam.
Even later than that, in modern day, Mint Frostleaf idolizes the current progeny of Applegloam and sees Chai as the next Queen of the Therrigon and sees her friendship with Luneth, the daughter of the sun goddess their species was made in the image of, as proof of Chai's divine right to rule. Chai thinks Mint is probably insane, but harmless.
