- When Nightmare Moon first arrived, the moon wasn't empty. Other creatures, even some ponies, that were also overtaken by the Nightmare were lurking on its surface too. Fights for dominance were constant and ruthless. The "stars" that aligned to aid in her escape were never stars, but magical corners to a portal that opens once a millenia has been served.
