This was for day 7 of junicorn. I really love kelpies, so I drew something special for this one: a unicorn kelpie and ceffyl dŵr.
Have you even heard of the ceffyl dŵr? is a water horse spirit in Welsh folklore. a bit similar to the kelpie, but instead of sinking along with its "rider", they fly into the sky and turn to mist so the person falls and drowns in the sea.
Funny enough, this particular kelpie mare has a ceffyl dŵr girlfriend whom she visits every rainy season. The kelpie lives in a swamp, and the ceffyl dŵr lives by the sea, so they can only see eachother if the kelpie finds a river that leads to the sea. ࿐ ࿔*:･ﾟ
