Well, not to be a theater nerd 🤓 but Elphaba does not actually has a fear of water. That's just an invention about her that spread out. Though I admit it would make for a very funny visual gag that she was a desert animal or an aquatic one. I can also think she could be a cat, because of how they avoid baths 😂. Or maybe even a bat! That would be cool!
