Personally, I only view traits like that as a fun little bit of comedy. I enjoy throwing in most animal jokes in media; BoJack Horseman was a huge inspiration for this. Also, I still view Chalex being an older sibling figure for Blue to have chemistry with. It’s almost like a sense of irony in a way.
