So, I've mentioned a fancy-dancy, official fursona.
You get the first official sketch of "Concept is done and complete. Now we properly study appropriate anatomies, and give her a proper anatomical structure"
What is she?
Definitely an ungulate!
Probably a cervine!
A unicorn?
A kirin?
A deer that feel into Yellowstone's Prismatic Spings and mutated?
Something?
Officially she's an "amalgam", because I like alliteration.
Unofficially, she's a "Sagebrush Sea Unicorn" despite being 0% equid, and whether you're into the most modern of unicorn,sparkly horse with a narwhal tusk, or the most obscure being from a Medieval manual with paws an a slight sheep shaped face, "unicorn" tends to say "probably equid...equid adjacent for sure!"
In reality, she stemmed from me thinking about traditional unicorn and thinking "Okay, but what if I took that concept and 'Wyoming animals'ed instead"
I've fought her for a long time, and have gone, fine. I'll bother with all the stupid studies and bother with you in proper.
Will you see her with all with her colors and markings all gussied up anytime soon? Who knows!

Thank you! I had a day where I ended up just going back and forth between reference and digging for and pestering folks about critique.
I grew up in a hunting family, and my grandpa has a whole collection of mule deer skulls.
The amount of "Yo, Grandpa Elmo, can you take a picture of-"
I've seriously considered being like "I'll pay you for one, but holy cow! Are these critters a pain! I need references, Grandpa!"
All that to say, I am so glad it looks good! It means those hours weren't for naught!
Maybe, once I have some colors set up I'll hit you up on Discord. Throw her at you and scream "Hoof trade!"
Maybe we can hop onto "Drawpile" one day and do it real time ( Drawpile, which, turns out, is still a thing, and updated, their brush selection is to die for!)
