The first gift my lamb gave to Narinder was a feather necklace, and Narinder didn't trust it. Funny enough, Narinder didn't know what effect that particular necklace had on mortals because my Lamb had never given one to a follower before. He knew the accessory had some sort of effect on him and assumed it was meant to control him, just another way for the lamb to rub in his face that the god of death had lost.
So, any time he had any positive interactions or feelings for the lamb, he would blame it on the necklace. It wasn't until 1 year later, during one of Narinder's hissy fits, that my lamb explained what the necklace actually did.
"You hurt my feelings, my lord. This was a genuine gift, not a tool to warp your mind," he smirked while fidgeting with the necklace around Narinder's neck. "This is no loyalty collar or flower necklace; it doesn't make your devotion to me brighter or unbreakable. It just gives you an extra pep in your step, makes you fast like a bird. Thought you would like it after spending millennia stuck in one place."
My lamb smiled nonstop for WEEKS after seeing Narinder's reaction to this information.
