There's something funny about the furry fandom. We're pretty chill about art skill and yet there are tons of guys and gals out there who want nothing more than to become better at drawing. Some just want to draw a certain way, others want to go all the way into realism, and then there are those who are just about making it to a decent level to draw sexual portraits.
But the thing is... I don't ever see any one of those persons become ridiculously badass in their craft. maybe I'm just not looking hard enough but I haven't actually seen a success story like that. I can sort of see why actually,
I've been drawing furry art for 4 years or so now. Gosh do I feel old. In that time I've noticed that while I am an alright artist I've never quite gotten an amazing amount of views or popularity. I base this off how many comments I got and I didn't have too many of those. Heck on this account I'm lucky to get one per submission.
maybe it's my lack of socializing that's the problem. Or maybe it's that the fandom is too involved in other genres of materials that are more stimulating. I ask these questions sometimes. The most humorous answer I came up with, as well as the most scathing to the fandom proper, is that all one needs to do to become more well known is to draw sub-standard art, and whine like a baby whilst machine gunning any other artist with half hearted reassurance.
like I said, most scathing. But maybe I'm just a bit bitter at the lack of viewership on my page. So perhaps it might be best to disregard my comments.
