Bogglyr Life Stages
Eggs- Transferred from a reproductive female to an independent after being formed to continue developing until ready to hatch. Eggs usually come in clusters of around 8 to 15, but usually a few end up not hatching.
Young Larva- A freshly hatched bogglyr larva is aquatic only, using external gills to breathe. These hatchlings usually stick close to defenders and feed on algae and small insects. They're very vulnerable to predators in this stage.
Larva- Still aquatic only, but now having grown legs they're a bit faster and a bit more capable of self defense.
Adolescent- Semi-aquatic. At this stage, lungs begin to develop, and they will start taking short trips onto land to explore, but not too far from defenders. The tail fins and gills begin to disappear.
Juvenile- Now more capable of taking care of themselves, juveniles will start venturing away from defenders and find food on their own or in small groups. At this stage they begin to get a bit more involved in bogglyr society. Not yet sexually mature, they focus primarily on learning as much as they can and finding their place in society.
