Seriously why wouldn't a hungry hound pass up a large meal practically delivered to him by momentum. Plus hitting all the drinks and such across the bar adds a nice little marinade to his meal.
As for the poem bit that Kaydin is talking about, it is a reference to where I got this idea long ago.
