SCP-P0038 is a foxlike entity with nine sets of exposed, dead caudal vertebrae that somehow show no signs of further decay over time, despite its ability to make them spontaneously combust if aggravated by personnel.

Under no circumstances are personnel to initiate ANY physical contact with P0038, owing to a strong correlation with anomalous events. Some personnel were seemingly struck dead, others incapacitated (but later revived, recounting strange dreams in spectacular levels of detail), and on some occasions additional creatures (of varying species) have been inexplicably found in (and subsequently removed from) P0038's containment.

The "fox" appears highly intelligent: though it lacks the ability to speak itself, it seems able to understand human speech perfectly, and in some cases can even follow certain instructions. Any such obedience, however, is voluntary on its part and not guaranteed.
