The hare twirled his glaive and took several whirling steps back. This whole dungeon had been... bizarre - Traps that looked like toys; puzzles that seemed almost elementary. Stranger still were the grinning automatons that patrolled its corridors. Some of them had goofy, painted-on grins. Others were more simian in shape, clanging two metal plates together and causing quite a ruckus in their attempt to attack him.
Now he was near the end of the old-world ruins. A titanic, bear-like thing reared onto its hind legs and lunged at him. Every punch just sank into its soft belly. Every powerful kick was absorbed by its plush body. Sirocco had smashed a pillar, bringing the roof down on the monster, yet it tossed the rubble aside like it was nothing! It might have lacked claws, but he knew better than to let something that strong get a hold of him.
"Ohhh... that's a sharp thiiiing. Beddur be caaareful with dat! Huhuhuh!"
"Down, monster!" Sirocco lept at it, business end of his spear aimed at its gut. They say no plan survive contact with the enemy, The hare already had a follow-up attack and two escape routes in mind. What he couldn't have anticipated was the thing's reach! It's stubby, arms seemed to spring at him, stretching further than it seemed possible, snatching the jackrabbit out of the air!
"Wh- HEY! L-leggo of me, you big dumb..."
"Uh-uh. If you dun got nothin' nice to say, you shuddn't say nothin' at all!"
Before the hare could respond, something stiff and colorful, with a soft node at the end, had been shoved in his muzzle! A... pacifier?! He sputtered and protested, only to be shushed by the enormous teddy bear. "Awwww, fussy one, huuuuh? I know JUST wut to do! Lemmie tell yuh a story! Huhuh!"
It began to slide a glowing paw along he hare's body. Weird!! He... wasn't being crushed. Nor fried. Nor any of the hundred things he assumed a boss monster could do to him. Instead, he just felt the trusty spear in his paw growing heavier. Soft, soporific music was emanting from some ancient music box somewhere in the thing's body. It paired nicely with the cozy, droning story it was telling about... about some big hero. Adventurer. Just like... like he wuz!
Or, uh... like he'd... grow up to be. Someday.
Everything just felt so cozy and comfortable and warm. He couldn't help but let his eyes lid, his senses dull. The giant teddy bear gave a soft, dumb giggle.
"Sleep tight, little one, an' you'll awaken anew!"
D'awww, this one was just too cute! I think the thing I love about age-regression TFs is just how cozy they can be! As adults, everything is thorny and complex. It's nice to imagine being able to visit the kind of cozy simplicity of bein' a kid again, even if only for a little while.
...dunno that Sirocco's gonna be 'big' again anytime soon. Oh well. Maybe this go-round, he try out a different Job Class!
