Kryloon commission featuring Nala during her first mission as the Mistress of the Hunt. Here we see her first kill. After years of training as a warrior, Nala shows how deadly she can be in her first fight to the death.
----
Shortly after Nala graduated, Scar gave her a mission. She was to travel with him as his bodyguard on enemy territory. He wanted to see what she could do. As expected, they were attacked by a snake who attempted to assassinate Scar. Nala tackled Scar out of the way. Though she hated Scar, he was still her king. Nala was trained by her master to protect the king and she was going to honor her purpose.
The snake lunged at Nala, trying to bite her with his venomous fangs. Nala dodged and retaliated, but he was slithery, dodging her kicks and claws. Neither landed any blows for a while. It looked like an even fight, but the outcome was slowly shifting to Nala. She was blessed with her mother's gift of reading body language. This mixed with her training allowed her to predict the movements of the snake. Once she got used to the speed, she could end the fight.
The snake intended to knock Nala down the sea. He tried to slap her with his powerful tail to knock her off the cliff to her death. Nothing was quicker than the tail of a snake. To his suprise, Nala caught the snake's tail with her hand and then she wrapped it around her wrist. She pulled back on the tail and lifted her left leg, chambering for the first and last strike.
CRACK!
Her left paw struck him across the face. The blow was so powerful that it sent one of his fangs flying in the air in a shower of blood and spit. But Nala was not done yet. She was not going to let him recover. She pulled back her leg, making sure her toe claws raked across his thorat. The snake bled to death by the time Nala folded her leg. He fell to the ground, staring at the paws of the young lioness who killed him.
After that day, Scar gave Nala the title of Mistress of the Hunt. A title that struck fear in the hearts of those who threatened Pride Rock.
