ryashi has convinced me out of killing spiders. I haaaate them. But they didn't choose to be spiders, they can't help it, it's not like they want to hurt anyone, I just think they want to crawl on me and bite me and poison me like everyone else but they probably don't want to.
THEY'RE LIKE GAYS. SO NOW WHEN I SEE ONE IT TALKS WITH A LISP AND TRIES TO BE ALL SWEET AND CHARMING.

the easy way to harmlessly remove them:
1. Get a ziplock bag, any size will do
2. Squeeze the top sides of the bag where the zipper edges meet, this will cause the bag to stay open
3. Put the farthest open edge of the bag against the surface on the opposite side of the spider from you
4. Drag the edge along the surface till it hits the spider
5. The spider will panic and drop into the bag
6. Zip the top while the bag is poofed up with air
7. Go outside, unzip and dump spider into the grass
Problem solved! :)
Most spiders can't climb plastic, so you'll never have to worry about them popping out the top of the bag XD
and the only ones that can react by scrunching into a ball and playing dead at the bottom anyway XD

I normally try to ignore them, or put them outside, or at least outside of my room.
My problem isn't that there's one spider in my room, it's that they might make MORE spiders, and I don't need some kind of spider habitat going on.
Additionally if a spider surprises me at the wrong time I might squish em. Like while I'm sitting on the toilet, or laying in bed, or like this one time I was making a sammich and had just grabbed a napkin when a daddy long legs rushed out from under the toaster oven we had all like "HEY WHATS GOING ON?!". I was all like AHHH DONT TOUCH MY FOOD! *splat*

Haha yeah. X3 After posting this I remembered I killed one the other day that was in my way, since they're everywhere outdoors. Or even earlier today for being on a car door handle! D:
And you're right, I've had times where I noticed one big spider and then had tons of baby spiders crawling around the wall or on my desk, makes me wish I got it while I had the chance. X3
And of course if they look really scary and harmful you want to feel safer, and if you try to take them away and they crawl all creepy ahhh ;O;

<LoL!> That's got to be the most clever way I've ever heard of changing one's behavior towards something. You always hear those therapy thingies that say, "When you think, or see, this, do that insead." Very clever.
On another note, I'll probably never be able to think of a spider the same way again. <LoL!> :)

The other day, a spider bit me when I tried to exit out of my shower. The spot where it bit my finger swelled a bit and bruised purple for a good 5 hours, making me worry the hell out of my mind that the spider was of the deadly bite variety (I couldn't get a great look at it before I killed it multiple times as I didn't have my glasses and was in a mad rush to destroy its remains with my shampoo bottle)
It all depends on the size of the spider; I have no problem scooting a little guy out of my house...but when some big fuck off wolf spider comes waltzing in causing trouble then he gets the boot, literally. I know they don't choose to be big fuck off wolf spiders but they chose to walk into my house going 30 mph so they gotta be dealt with X3
I'm more scared of them now that someone almost died of a Black Widow poisoning in my area recently >.<
Thus I have invoked the Right of Annulment. All the spiders in the Circle- err.... my house... must be executed immediately! I don't care how gay they are!
Well, actually, that's not true, I don't really do anything about them. They're relatively harmless.

Aww, and another great piccy! Hehe. X3 I kinda feel sorry for spiders too sometimes, and bugs in general, and generally try not to hurt 'em. If I find bugs, I usually just try to put 'em outside. But it'd be especially tough if you especially didn't like spiders. Hehe, in any case, you did a great job of capturing that conflict here, and makin' the spider just a cute sympathetic lil gay dude. :D I hope those spiders stay away from my favorite hammy so he doesn't have to deal with 'em!
Hehe, yeah! Bugs and insects seem cared for the least, and they can't really help bein' how they are. I just wish it was easier to get them outside and away. At least there are some I don't really mind if they're around, and even if it might not always happen it's definitely nice to try to solve things as not vicious as possible! B-)
It's like the powerful ruler who finds one of his subjects to be terribly annoying -- but appreciates that this crazy person is helpless in his hands. So it feel sick for him to do anything -- but something that makes the other person appreciate how merciful he really is, for someone who has everyone at his mercy.
