In a mountainside castle bordered by thick, treacherous climbs of rock and rugged terrain, a dragon lives feared, worshipped, revered. The people sate her with sacrifices and offerings even when she has not asked this, but she knows people are stuck in their ways and she will not stop them, lest they see it as some trick and decide they must slay her instead.
In the very grand city which brings these offerings, which has banned the ways of magics and myth and all who harness its potential danger within its walls, a girl lives teetering on the edge of exile herself. She is not magical at all, she thinks, but her superstitious people cannot see past the witch’s marks which paint her skin.
The dragon watches with great interest.

This is Cassiel! A grand beast who will essentially end up being the girlfriend of my older character Andromeda. Andra lives in a very Nemona-inspired city, where they are extremely adamant on keeping ‘monsters’ outside of their walls, and also anything magical or otherwise inhuman.
Andra, blotched with these strange, pale markings all over her body, is on thin fucking ice and may as well be some monster or witch herself, according to these old idiots.
All the better reasoning to be ‘kidnapped’ by a dragoness and taken far from that place, though.
