Henry briefly wondered whether it was worth putting on the clothes. It's not as if they'd do much to hide his alienness. But he'd already gone through the trouble of acquiring the outfit from his new mammal "friend" and truth be told he didn't know how cold it got in this universe.

Back home there was snow in the mountains every winter and the spring thaw always uncovered bones that weren't there the season prior. Some dinos were desperate or damned foolish enough to take their chances, it seemed, and nature claimed the toll she exacted from the unready.

The way Henry sees it he's one-third fool, two-thirds desperate and damned any way he looks at it. One day some anonymous wanderer passing through the valley of the shadow of death will come across his bones and it don't make no difference to him what the verdict is. But he ain't dying unready.
