Eclipse's new history is that he was a clone make by RCL (Rocket Clone Labs) shortly before they accidentally started a robot apocalypse. The robots replicated too fast compared to their battery and their assimilation of life abruptly stopped. Eclipse escaped his fate that way, leaving him mostly intact, only his arm lost. He survived the wasteland for 7 years before Yuki grabbed him, although he ticked her off in the process
