It was improper for an immortal to concern themselves with such things, for both their sake and Azrien's own. Still, Yoshi's delight in his son was undeniably infectious, and it would be rude to not greet the child in some manner. "Oop, looks like that finger belongs to Q now" Yoshi joked as the baby's tiny fingers wrapped around Azrien's talon. The baby, Q, looked up at Azrien, his eyes wide with delight. A phoenix was no stranger to admiration, yet from one so young it felt... different. Honest. Endearing. That, coupled with the sounds it was making, stirred something deep within the jaded immortal, and suddenly, if for just a moment, Azrien understood why mortals did this sort of thing.
"H-hello." Azrien stumbled the word, a smile crossing his features for the first time in many years.
