Jack was a rare example of a janus cat who lived to adolescence. He was not expected to survive kittenhood, but defied the odds and thrived. Though he was in generally frail health most of his life, he was able to live relatively normally, attending school and regularly visiting local gardens he loved very much. He tended to keep to himself, although some classmates were able to get to know him to various degrees. He had confused feelings for one of them, though he never told them or anyone else. He died unexpectedly at age 15 of complications related to his diprosopa. He is remembered fondly and increasingly vaguely by those who knew him.
