Been pecking at this for a few days and figured I would sacrifice my wrist a bit for this one! It's admittingly a pretty hectic image but I don't think there is any way for something like this to not be.

The Long Hike is a comic I started 5 years ago, give or take a few weeks as it started in the 9th of february... so we're two weeks off ust about. At the time I was drawing a bunch of little stories and simply wanted to tell a "longer" story, so I started drawing The Long Hike.

The comic has been with me through those 5 years and has become one of the big reasons I get up in the morning. It has become a conduit for years of worldbuilding before and after its beginning and a real extreme advancement of my day to day hobby as a chronic doodler. I thought up the first half of the comic which we are now seeing mostly in long days working in an Amazon fulfillment center, and the rest of the comic has followed since then.

The comic isn't nearly done yet, in fact chapter 12 is the halfway point! There is a definitive end for TLH and at this point I have a good idea of what each chapter from now till then will involve. By my guess, counting side stories and life, work and instability I anticipate it costing me another 6 or so years to actually finish this thing. By that point I will be in my mid to late 30s which is kinda insane. I often wonder if I will ever finish the full story, its shocked me to have gotten this far in the first place but hey!

I'll take it day by day, and for now I'll just be here now.
