Hailing from the great deserts of the north of Africa, Mwezi would be on her own after leaving their nomadic pride, when she met a lone white lioness. The lioness was pregnant, and was the last living member of the Army of Ghosts. Hesitant to help her at first, Mwezi guided her to an oasis. There, the two decided to venture to a nearby jungle, where they met a friendly hyena. The two began to settle, and then, a male lion appeared. He was big, handsome, and wished for a pride of his own. Mwezi decided to humor him, and soon, they both began to feel for the other.
A few weeks later, Kambuka went into labor and had four healthy cubs. Mwamba, Kimba, Jiwe, and a girl named Mlima.
At the night of the birth, once Kambuka was resting with her newborn cubs, Mwezi and their new king decided to consummate their union in a mysterious, painted cave. After they felt the love, both slumbered, under the great king’s watchful eyes, and within Mwezi, a blessing was placed.
Months later, the result of Mwezi and Xiro’s mating was a subject of astonishment in their new jungle kingdom. The queen had been bestowed a full litter. Six cubs. It left them slow, huge, and utterly encumbered. However, Mwezi never complained. They were excited for the future of their growing family, and when supernatural forces revealed that their oversized litter was part of the great king’s plans, Mwezi simply decided to raise their cubs to follow their own path, even if the spirits wished for them to repopulate the now barren Valley of King, which were mostly exterminated by Kiros and his army. An army Kambuka was once part of.
Mwezi is a lioness who lives in the moment, and is only interested in living their life to the fullest, on their own terms. The great kings can try to hijack their litters, or fill their kingdom with mysteries, but nothing can stop them from their path forward, caring about whom they love most. Because of this attitude, Mwezi was remembered as a legendary queen of the oasis. A symbol of confidence, strength, and nobility long after their journey in the circle of life ended. Their tales were spread all across Africa by the many cubs they had throughout their prime.
