Laura stood on the ridge, inhaling the crisp air of the human realm as the sun warmed her scales. Lost in the horizon’s beauty, she didn't notice her massive foot descended, pinning her newest tiny servant beneath her sole. To his shock, the lethal weight didn't crush him; instead, he found himself pinned between her toes, breathing in the earthy leathery scent of her foot. He was one of the rare few with the "blessing" to survive a dragoness’s step, and the pressure felt more like a firm embrace than a peril.
When Laura finally glanced down, she didn't find a tragedy, but a tiny beaming face smiling back from between her toes. A thrill of excitement surged through her as she realized she had finally found a human strong enough to survive her clumsy feet. Delighted by her luck, she pressed her foot down more playfully and grinning about a servant she could keep without ever having to watch all of her steps again.
