Decided to post something here for once.
When a mother is pregnant with twins, she may give birth to both of them, or Vanishing Twin Syndrome can occur.
This is when one twin will sort of "absorb" the other while they're still developing. It can happen at multiple different stages of a pregnancy, and the born child may live a full life, or may be stillborn.
What can also happen is the born child can seem completely normal, but some have also been known to still have extra parts from their absorbed twin, like an extra organ or another arm.
Sezura is primarily a Latias, but is the unexpected result of this condition. Hir body shape is entirely that of a Latias, but all of hir colors are slightly mixed with those of a Latios.
Hir "red" feathers are slightly more blue,
hir "white" feathers are slightly grey,
hir "blue" feathers are slightly red,
and hir eyes are also slightly red.
Contrary to hir condition, however, shi is actually smaller than most Latias(es?), reaching only 3'11" at hir full growth, whereas an average Latias is 4'07" and an average Latios is 6'07"
For the sake of hir overall appearance, I will refer to hir as a Latias, but, for those of you who haven't figured it out, shi is a herm, as is also sometimes a result of VTS.
This also explains my use of the pronouns "hir" and "shi". They are unofficial words, but I've seen used for non-gender characters and herms instead of "he/him", "she/her", or "it", but you will most likely see me using "her" and "she" because it's more natural for me to write and I've already accidentally typed them multiple times just writing this.
Say hello to Sezura, everyone c:
