Absolutely brilliant indeed! I’m reminded of a great documentary called ‘children of the magenta line’ which criticised modern pilot training techniques resulting in people being overly reliant on automation thus lacking hand flying skills.

Not to worry on the training. My daughter has a best friend who is an air force wife, and on a visit to England, I got to meet him. He is not a pilot, but a very high ranking enlisted - our version would be somewhere around Master Chief. I had lots of questions, but of course understood he wouldn't be allowed to answer them. I did voice my concerns over computerization. He told me, that when the pilots practice, they turn the computers off. I thought that was an exceptional thing to do.

*laughs... so am I - there are so many good ones out there. I saw a youtube presentation that was really good. Apparently, the government wanted the F-35 to have some real dog fighting experience for them to compare performance with, so they chose the F-16. They got the original designer of the F-16 to do the film. At the end, he was asked how they compared, and he just smiled, then told them, 'The F-16 ate its lunch.'

With all of the dumb stuff AI keeps doing, I'm not so sure the terminator movies are becoming reality any time soon lol. Good to know that this super secret task force is ready to go when we do though!

*laughs... if you think about it, AI seems to be all pissy just like people are. I actually do not see them ever getting together unless there was a major takeover by one system. I also don't see them as being an enemy we could not defeat. It is true they have logic and speed on their side, but we humans are totally unpredictable, and we have the ability of working together towards a common goal, including the ability of sacrificing ourselves for the common good should that be called for.

Oh yes... saw the best Chuck Norris joke the other day. The first panel was Arnold as the Terminator telling him he needed his clothes, and his motorcycle. The second panel was Chuck giving him the look. The third was the Terminator's metal skull being used as a pencil holder.
