"Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron" is the fourth book in the Spirit of the West series written by Kathleen Duey. It is a retelling of the original 2002.
"Esperanza" is the third book in the Spirit of the West beta-canon series written by Kathleen Duey (inspired by Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron). It is about Spirit’s mother Esperanza and her mate Strider, before the events of the film.
"Strider" is the mate of Esperanza and the father of Spirit in Esperanza (book 2 in the beta-canon series inspired by the DreamWorks movie “Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron”).
"Bonita" is the dam/mother of "Sierra" and maternal grandmother of Rain. She appears in "Bonita" and "Sierra" beta-canon books
I'm still trying to figure out which book is the first. Like Sierra - ?,Bonita - ?,Strider-2, Esperanza-3, Spirit - 4. But maybe I'm wrong, I can't find the "first book" query in any way (
