Scraffy's a bit maladjusted because of all the things he went through as a kid. Somewhere along the way, he picked up a nasty a fear of heights, the worst type of fear a bat can get. He has no trust in his own wings. Even just standing on Metro overpasses for his job can set off vertigo. One day, when he got a panic attack after looking out the windows of his brother's penthouse apartment, he decided that he had enough. He was made to fly, and he was going to learn one way or another.
Now, as he stands on the ledge of a dilapidated building somewhere in Bunker Hill, trying not to faint as his friend tries to encourage him to step into the air, he's discovered that bad mentalities die hard...
