Prince Theophilus' official Gentleman of the Bedchamber, and thus his closest confidant. Ashorak hold an unshakable loyalty to the young prince for taking him in after his clan had banished him for practicing forbidden arcane sciences and alchemy. The Grey-Headed Flying Fox suffers from a magical curse that forces him to consume blood, marking him a monster by his fruit eating kin.

Prince Theophilus, seeing his talents in matters of the arcane and political sciences, brought Ashorak into his aegis and regularly feeds him with his own blessed magical blood. In turn the bat happily and faithfully provides Theophilus with his magical and political abilities, making the two a truly powerful duo in the fractured Seikilos Empire.
