Yeah, anthro armor is so cool! I just kinda went for overlapping plates this time, my referenced armour only went to about mid shin and anthro feet are weird to armour anyways :3

Yes, jousting armor was even heavier, since it was only worn briefly to make a highly dangerous sport relatively safe. It was often upwards of 80-110lbs and moving in it was a feat.
(If the individual had the excessive wealth to allow it,) Cavalry armor is where you start seeing heavier features like cuisses that cover all the way around, sabatons with metal on the bottom, and segmented faulds covering halfway to the knee in some cases.
