i used to pay much attention to the aspect ratios, but the same movies can have different aspect ratios on different platforms and releases, and on top of that often rounded to match certain pixel counts, so nowadays i just copy the aspect ratio of the ref i have and don't look much further into it, i didn't even notice how wide this was till you mentioned it now :D
