Maren Lee is a cervid taur with a knack for hand-to-hoof combat. With boundless energy and strength to bear, Maren is willing to take on any challenge. Whether or not she actually succeeds is another matter…

It is said that those in Maren’s lineage would have a rare chance to be gifted with the traits of their zodiac animal from birth. Depending on the year they were born in, they could have a dragon’s claws, a tiger’s fangs, or even a snake’s tail. Maren was one of these gifted few, being born during the year of the horse. How she ended up as a cervid taur instead of a centaur is unclear. Some of her relatives blamed it on bad genetics from her dad’s side, or a curse on the family. It’s something Maren is only a little self conscious about. Regardless, she trained herself up to match the strength and speed of a real horse.

Maren has a bit of a hero complex, with a desire to save lives, inspire people, and benefit society in any way she can. Whether it be through racing, MMA matches, or even vigilante crime fighting, she’s willing to try anything. Unfortunately, being half deer means you’re not eligible for most competitions, and even with her skillset, fighting criminals is pretty hard. She’s having trouble finding proper work. At least there’s always the soup kitchen.

Maren has a big appetite and eats like a horse. She has to keep up that physique of hers somehow. If you can handle her energy, Maren can make friends with most anyone. She’s loyal to her community and is always up for a challenge. Unless that challenge involves rats or snakes. She can’t stand them.
