This is based on some of more anthro designs of the diamond dogs I saw in the IDW comics.

This is Brenda Collie, or Dr. Collie, a diamond dog turned scientist and medical specialist. She's great with kids, and is very skilled in her field.



Brenda Collie grew up in the land of the diamond dogs, with her medical and scientific knowledge making her stand out among her fellow diamond dogs. She was fascinated by the other creatures of Equestria, especially the draconequus and the chaotic powers that rivaled even the kitsune. This would lead to her being discovered by Cloud Tech, a tech company based in Zephyr Heights which was also a front for a magical syndicate. Despite not knowing of the Syndicate's true intentions, Dr. Collie was eager to further study the creatures of Equestria and their magic. This would lead to her becoming the lead scientist of Project Cherub, a secret project with the goal of creating a draconequus through cloning and genetic engineering. With funding and assistance from Cloud Tech and the Syndicate, Dr. Collie was able to create Cherub, a childish draconequus made from the DNA she extracted from several individuals, including Aaron, Sunny, Scarlet, and most importantly Scales. While originally intending on utilizing Sparky, the Syndicate accidentally grabbed Scales instead. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as she discovered that the childish chaos of someone like Scales was the perfect source for the chaotic core of her draconequus, leading to Scales' DNA being at the heart of Cherub.



What she didn't expect was for Cherub to not just be difficult to control, but to see her boss use him to take control of Equestria and use the DNA she gathered from Scarlet and Sunny for a horrible weapon. What's worse, is that her boss let Cherub run rampant and turn Equestria into his personal playroom. She realized that the Syndicate funded her research not to help others, but to control them. However, Brenda grew attached to Cherub, and with Scales and Zipp's help, is able to convince Cherub to help defeat Brenda's former boss and the Syndicate in general. Brenda realizes she probably went too far with her research and promises to take responsibility for Cherub, who also sees her as his mom. Dr. Collie now works as a doctor at the local hospital, using her medical knowledge to better help the creatures of Equestria. She cares for Cherub as her own child, and with help from Cinder and Zipp, is able to discipline the baby draconequus.



While misguided, Brenda Collie always wanted to help others. She was tricked by the Syndicate, blinded by their funding and assistance for her research, but she's shown the error of her ways and is able to get a second chance. Dr. Collie helps the Mane Six track down the Syndicate and ensure they can't control magic. She knows that all creatures have their own forms of magic, and that it should not be used to hold power over others.
