Minh Chi was a young girl who was just having fun with some of her friends, wanting to find a book that would grant them power and money. However, reading the book caused an evil spirit to awaken and kill her friends and family in the home. Minh Chi was spared, in return for the ghost using her body as a physical vessel. Over time, Minh Chi was able to learn how to control the spirit, and bring it under her command. Having the spirit possess her for so long had a side-effect, she was losing her ability to feel emotions and be able to express her feelings. Her speaking became monotone. Even after taking back control, she lost what made her human, and now she is a walking, talking zombie with ghost-like qualities to her.

Because this all came about because of a book that held the spirit, she decided to now use her powers and knowledge to find, collect, and protect many cursed and enchanted items. She didn't want anyone else to have to go through what she did, just to get her body back, and this drove her to make sure nothing like that book would ever get into the hands of another innocent being.

Minh Chi has an ability I don't see used too often, where she can summon spirits to assist her in her offense and defense. These ghosts can block and become extensions of her physical body, allowing her to attack from a distance. She can also use these spirits to move and control items. I can see this being a thing in some hypothetical fighting game.

You may have noticed that her eyes are very much like Malarie's, which is, I guess, my way of depicting ghost/zombie characters.
