Ian McGecko! I certainly had a blast working on it! It was a challenge (not used to drawing gryphon bodies, as much as I like them) but it was good to expand my horizons. I’m glad Ian let me have creative freedom, because getting to draw a hunky bird of prey flying over the city like a superhero was pure indulgence on my end. He’s just so freakin’ COOL. I challenged myself with the Superman pose, but I thought it was perfect for this character so I was determined to do it justice. I used “James and Scamper” by ZookieDragon on DA as a reference. I then decided to add the city skyline. Originally I was gonna make the sky blue, but my sky blue pencil is withered down from drawing Daisy so much. So I made this a night scene, which is why the flags are lit by searchlights. It isn’t proper etiquette to fly the American flag at night without a light :P
