I guess parts of it were cut for showing Pete as a bootlegger, since I guess cause it was the 20s and you can't have any depiction of alcohol in prohibition era America.

On the topic of the Alice Comedies, I remember seeing the first short of that series. Apparently it originally ended with the typical "All Just a Dream" trope, but the version I saw just abruptly ends with Alice falling from the cliff after being chased by lions. Idk why, I assume someone had some twisted sense of humor and cut out from a print the rest which showed it was all just a dream. This is also the version Disney included as a bonus to the Un-Anniversary Edition of Alice in Wonderland.
