Was thinnking, yeah, that looks pretty good, then read the description, and looked even closer.
The way you have done the fur is stunning.

So impossibly gorgeous, perfect, and awe-inspiring. And I mean the art, not just the lion himself. ^_^
That sun symbol makes for a very interesting and unusual way of breaking up the mane. This definitely is something I'd expect to see in a professional art gallery, on posters and WWF promotional art, and of course, fantasy art like Magic.
*becomes lost in the amazing flow of that rich mane* Those eyes and that face prove why I was first lost to lions, so long ago...
