Buckhopper cel-shaded commission
Let's turn back a clock to a simpler time, to
buckhopper's days as a rookie baller at Lapine State. A little younger, a little thinner, but the heart is there, surely.

It's always been part of the B-Hop character that he was not expected to be superstar. Instead of being a furry LeBron James, trumpeted before he ever put on an NBA jersey, he's supposed to be more like Tyreke Evans, totally under the radar until he drilled home a 20-5-5 record in his rookie year. What I love about this picture is that B-Hop doesn't look like a champion. Young and scrawny-- not to mention being a prey animal-- while he's an experienced baller, it's hard to picture this character facing down the wolves and lions of the FBA.
And that's why I love this pic so much. :) Thanks, AB!

Oh man, seeing B-Hop in any other jersey other than the Thrust purple, black and silver is pretty jarring, hehehe. But I agree, I like how he's so scrawny, yet determined looking. I also love the background. An underrated element of any good picture. This one works very well. ^^ Oh and the jersey looks very realistic too! :)
