So after getting a bunch of information from  Severus about one of his world settings and races, I had my own little events playing in my head. His Kits are a race of 3 foot fox people made to do research for humanity, ie; born scientists.

But on their space platform/research center/home 'world' thing there's problems in the inner core. they regularly have to deal with mutated monstrosities that were once their own kind, and send out raids against them, but they arn't built for war so it turns out poorly. Until one day an alien ship docks.

Lo' and behold it is a ship from the Kurtalmalian empire. an empire forged from short but highly motivated, militant and industrious race known as Kobolds.

Coming aboard they quickly move past any diplomatic niceties and move onto what they want and what they can do for the foxes. unfortunately the Kits are very must isolationists, and do not respond kindly but a deal is reached and the strike cruiser of the Kobold force deploys soldiers in great number, armed with small but technologically advanced weaponry to deal with the monstrous threats deeper in the home station of the kits.

After a short and bloody encounter, and a longer hunt/kill operation of one of the lower decks, the kobolds demand their payment for the work. the Kits seem to be INTENTIONALLY giving the lizards problems,something about the levels of noise, space usage, oxygen usage and many other things the kobolds feel are trumped up. an argument insues between lead members of both sides, and this is where that point begins.
