This is the character sheet for Scarlet Valentine, the troublemaker character in my Danganronpa game.

Scarlet Valentine is a bit of the troublemaker character in Danganronpa V4: Ashes of Hope.

Born the second son to Jonathan Valentine, CEO and head of the Valentine Pharmaceuticals company, Scarlet was basically born to inherit nothing. What's worse, he was born with a mark across his face that lead to him being demonized by his father who favorited his older brother, with Scarlet growing to despise both of them as he grew up, and wearing a mask to hide the mark on his face. Scarlet didn't know what to do with his life until he attended a performance of Phantom of the Opera, and Scarlet saw himself in the Phantom, leading him to pursue a career in the arts. The fact that his father despised the arts made Scarlet want to pursue a career in acting even more. This would lead him to star in several performances at the young age, and even got a role as the Phantom himself in a performance at his High School. His performance of the Phantom was breath taking, and even got him roles on Broadway. One day, when performing a a theatrical production on Broadway, Scarlet was surprised to find a talent scout from Hopes Peak Academy in attendance. The talent scout offered Scarlet the opportunity to attend a new overseas branch of Hopes Peak Academy, and Scarlet immediately agreed. While his father did have Scarlet's older brother attend the new overseas branch as part of the reserved department, it amused Scarlet that he will attend this school as none other than an ultimate. Indeed, for Scarlet theatrical talent got him place among Class 79B as the Ultimate Thespian.

However, Scarlet, along with the rest of Class 79B, would find himself in trapped inside the overseas branch. Soon, the class is met face to face with none other than Monokuma, who tells Class 79B that the only way to leave the overseas branch is to kill a classmate and get away with it. Scarlet is trapped within an all new killing game, and must now find a way to escape or die trying.

Scarlet ends up helping Sayuri Akiyama with some of the earlier class trials, but doesn't really much of her or Minoru. It wasn't until Sayuri ends up seeing him without his mask on that the walls he builds up start to crumble. That doesn't stopping him from messing with Monokuma. Such as when he uses a loophole in the rules to fake his death during third trial, and using it the extra time to find the third blackened to be Himari Hori (the ultimate herpetologist). Monokuma did try to punish him for what he did, but Scarlet was able to point out the loophole to avoid punishment. Scarlet does grow closer to Minoru and Sayuri, and the three make a plan to find the mastermind, with Scarlet finding their name, Itaru Fujinaga. Unfortunately he gets caught by Monokuma, who then blackmails Scarlet into ending the investigation. After refusing, Monokuma turns the rest of the remaining students against Minoru and Sayuri as a motive. Scarlet soon learns that two classmates, Emily Lafyette (the ultimate fencer) and Tatsumi Mochizuki (the ultimate chemist), planned to kill Sayuri and Minoru believing them to be in kahoots with the mastermind. To protect his friends, Scarlet kills Tatsumi and Emily, making him the fifth blackened. When this is revealed during the fifth trial, Scarlet reveals he killed both of them to protect Sayuri and Minoru, and still stays defiant towards Monokuma, kicking the demonic bear before his punishment. During his execution, Scarlet still puts on a show, defying Monokuma in death and making his execution fail.

Story Importance:
- Scarlet is a troublemaker character, who often disappears during parts of the game.
- Scarlet is a fake out death during the third trial, presumed a victim only to be revealed to have faked his death
- Scarlet is the fifth blackened, killing Emily and Tatsumi

Execution Notes:
- In the pixel animation screen (____ has been found guilty, time for the punishment) Scarlet is shown kicking Monokuma and walks off instead of being dragged off.
- Scarlet's execution fails, as he puts on show before his death and dies facing the audience with a bow

Important Note:
While he shares a name with him, Scarlet Valentine is not related or has anything to do with Scarlet Fox. They're two separate characters, and aren't even from the same universe.
