The liskali are the race of sapients most recently introduced to the Local Cluster. Originally discovered in Derrex space, they eagerly joined into the Derrex Empire, and have no holdings beyond their own homeworld.

A
The liskali are a naturally amphibious species, bipedal and around 150 centimeters tall on average. Males and females are mostly the same in appearance, aside from prominent mammaries on the females. Their skin is smooth and dry, and they are able to breathe underwater and in normal oxygen-proportioned atmosphere.
All liskali paint their skin with electroreactive paints from their homeworld; the color and patterns are entirely up to the individual's tastes, though females usually have symmetrical patterns, and males asymmetrical.

Liskali skin can come in a wide gradient of colors, generally ranging the cool tones from violet to green, and have pale patches on their cheeks and bellies.
The tendrils on a liskali's head are not prehensile, but can be styled and cut to the individual's taste. They can even be trimmed painlessly (akin to a human cutting their nails), and will grow back over time.

The liskali homeworld is almost constantly surrounded by electrical storms at all times, and while the liskali evolved with relatively poor eyesight, they have the ability to sense electrical energy with similar precision as most other species see. They can also manipulate that energy, able to generate and project electricity.

Liskali do not vocalize audibly; instead, they generate sound waves by their electricity that can be received by other species' aural receptors. When they use their abilities, the paint they wear glows. Liskali fashion also tends toward clothes that don't cover up the wearer's paint patterns.

Despite their amphibious nature, liskali bear live young, carrying a single child for ten standard months.
