This is the character sheet for Minoru Shinohara, the assistant character in my Danganronpa game.
Name: Minoru Shinohara
Age: 16
Talent: Ultimate Game Designer
Minoru acts like the assistant character in Danganronpa V4: Ashes of Hope. He also serves as a second protagonist, especially near the end of the game.
Minoru lived with his single mother in US, and spend most of his time drawing and playing video games. Minoru was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) when he was young, meaning that he usually had special accommodations in school, and unfortunately being bullied for being different. Despite this, Minoru doesn't see his disability as a burden, but rather as part of himself, and leads to him noticing and remembering things that others haven't considered. This also didn't stop him from pursuing his love for video games and cartoons, which eventually led him to learn how to make games and eventually create a small indie project called Nightfall, a top-down adventure game starring a young fox named Raymond, who he named after his real-life toy fox. To Minoru's surprise the game gained a prominent following online and even got the attention of several content creators. However, Minoru can be quite timid, and often lacks confidence or self-esteem. In fact, Minoru kept his identity secret and doesn't have any social media presence. This didn't stop word of Nightfall's success catching the attention of Hopes Peak Academy, who soon discovered that it was made by an 8th grade student as a personal project. As such, a talent scout tracked down Minoru at his school, and offered him the opportunity to attend a new overseas branch of Hope Peak Academy, which turned out to be close to where he lived. With some convincing from his mother, Minoru agreed to attend the new overseas branch of Hopes Peak Academy, becoming part of Class 79B as the Ultimate Game Designer.
However, Minoru, along with the rest of class 79B, would find himself trapped in the overseas branch. The class is soon introduced to none other then Monokuma, who tells them that the only way to leave the overseas branch is to kill one of their classmates and getting away with it. With an all new killing game commencing, Minoru must figure out the mystery of this new campus of Hopes Peak, and unmask the new mastermind.
Minoru was the last to receive his electronic notebook, which put a major target on his back. This led to him being targeted by Travis O'Donnell (the Ultimate Trackstar), and later made the prime suspect in the first trial when Travis became the first to die. Fortunately, with Sayuri's help, Minoru was able to clear his name and unveil the first blackened to be Tatianna Hearting (the Ultimate Cheerleader). Minoru does end up receiving a special electronic notebook with special accommodation perks by his homeroom teacher, Monopine, who grows a soft spot for him. Minoru gains more confidence with Sayuri's help, developing a close friendship with her and Scarlet Valentine. After Sayuri is killed, Minoru is left on his own to unveil not just her killer but also the identity of Itaru Fujinaga, the mastermind of the new killing game. Minoru ends up defeating Itaru, and escaping the killing game with the remaining two students.
