The leader of the rebellion and the depths. She’s also Shadowblaze’s love interest.

Considered the ruler of the Depths, the Dutchess has her paws in much of the underground activity within the Clockworks. However, unlike Gearwork, she uses her power to help the lower classes of the Clockworks as well as her fellow anthra. Most notably, she secretly runs a spy ring and rebellion known as the Splittails, which seeks to bring an end to the corruption, pureblood, and classist rulers that rose to power after the War of the Three Kingdoms. The Dutchess is well aware of the Sombre Lotus thanks to her closest contact currently serving as Gearwork's advisor. This contact is none other than Shadowblaze, who actually has a deep history and relationship with the Dutchess. Both even know each other's real names. It was her relationship with Shadowblaze that made her interested in meeting Prince, as she knows how important he is to stopping the Sombre Lotus, and to freeing Shadowblaze from the clutches of the one who rules from the shadows. She's the first to hint at Shadowblaze's good side, and that he's not truly working for the Sombre Lotus.



I should probably mention this, but Shadowblaze and the Dutchess are a canon ship in Dragon's Blood. I plan on discussing this more later, but she's the first to hint that Shadowblaze's loyalty doesn't lie with the Sombre Lotus.
