This is the character sheet for Scales.
Age: 3
An orphaned baby dragon, Scales was born with a rare condition that makes him unable to speak or breath fire. As such, he usually speaks in sign or whatever method he can. Scales' silent nature often makes it easier to get around the often busy staff at the orphanage, and would usually result in him being found sleeping in the TV room. He's obsessed with trains, and loves water, animals, and marble runs or any contraption that involves balls/marbles going down a series of ramps. His bad habit of being easily distracted and wondering often means that the staff have to frequently keep an eye on him.
Scales is on the spectrum, which leads to him struggling with things that others might have an easier time with. Scales doesn't do well with loud noises and crowds, places such as sporting events or even the dining hall of the orphanage can overwhelm him leading to him hiding from others. Scales often struggles making friends, and would rather spend time by himself than participating in activities. As a result, he's gotten a reputation of sneaking off to the TV room of the Orphanage, or Scorch's house, leading to Scorch having to contact the headmare of the Orphanage that he's snuck off again. Scorch is often teaching him how to speak sign language, and how to properly communicate his feelings through other means. Despite this, Scales is always friendly and kind once you know him, and has opened up more with encouragement from Scorch and some of the new staff that were brought on.
One day, Scales meets a unicorn and dracony who cross paths with him after he sneaks off to Scorch's house again. This is later followed by six ponies from Maretime and another baby dragon his age. Scales starts to get along with this new baby dragon and starts to become close friends with him. He also starts to get along with some of the new ponies and the young dracony who came, especially a pegasus who he starts to look up to as a parental figure. Scales might start off as timid, but is friendly and loving once he gets to know you.
