You think that intro from Mario Tennis Fever will get people to ship Bowser with Mario more? I swear you don't see anywhere as much shipping art of those two compared to Bowser and Luigi.

Hard to say! Odyssey definitely upped the number, but that was also a mainline game. Weirdly enough the Galaxy movie could turn that around????? assuming we spend most of the time with Mario and small!Bowser lmao. That said I doubt it! Bowuigi is the more "widely-appealing" one for a reason, much as I don't care for it, so it'll probably always be the one slash rarepair for Mario as a franchise.

Yeah I feel you on that. I really don't get the appeal to Bowser x Luigi, but at least in terms of "crack" ships Bowser x Mario feels more right to me considering it covers the Hero x Villain are secretly lovers dynamic. Plus the few times we see Mario and Bowser share some legit chemistry together is rather cute and natural. It's like they are sworn enemies, but they also have a certain level of respect for each other. Bowser and Luigi don't quite have that because Luigi has a similar dynamic with King Boo from the Luigi's Mansion series. Plus the running joke that goes on in the Mario Luigi series of games is Bowser finds Luigi so forgettable that he frequently calls him Green Stache. In other words, Bowser feels like Luigi is insignificant compared to Mario. I swear The Super Mario Bros Movie literally is the main reason why the ship blew up and it's not even based off the game canon. (Yes I treat movie canon and game canon separately. Lol) Anyways, I rest my case, we will see what happens by time the movie comes out if people will start liking Bowser x Luigi less or more. But yeah, I give you props for trying to bring publicity to a ship that is very overlooked.
