It’s all about location. The best hotels are always either the ones that are within walking distance to easy public transportation or are right in the heart of the tourism district. And oftentimes the extra cost is worth the convenience and time saved. Even though I almost always stay at US-chain hotels when abroad to try and requalify for elite status, location is a big thing for me, and this hotel that Euro is staying at in Krakow, Poland was a lot closer to the town center versus the hotel I stayed at when I was there last year.

Even if the town center is small and the atmosphere is heavy (there is a lot of WWII history here because the Nazis occupied rather than destroyed the city like they did Warsaw, and Auschwitz-Birkenau is an hour to the west by bus or train), this is a city worth visiting, and also holds a special place in my heart since this is where I met my fursuit maker.
