essentially in a nutshell, the people of Japan are so fucking wacked out of their mind, they believed that this research would lead to the creation of Gryphons, Centaurs, and real life furries. (i believed they called it Splicing in the series Batman Beyond.)

yeah, Splice. i seen that movie with maria, but it wasn't about combining DNA with humans. they used a whole assortment of creatures. the scientists were using rDNA research to find a cure for cancer by making synthetic beings containing genes immune to cancerous materials. like UV and gamma rays. They just so happened to create a creature that escaped and had tad bits of human genetics, but after finding the creature destroying their lab, a couple decides to keep it for independent research. it is then they learn that the creature has the intelligent capabilities of humans, however, was extremely feral. at the end of the movie the creature undergoes a sex change due to extreme genetic breakdown (it also ages at 20 times normal speed, growing to the age of 18 in 7 months.) the then male creature is initially put down after killing several scientists and the "father" of it.

it was a shitty movie honestly. me and maria were bullshiting saying "it would be cool/funny/awesome if this/that/ect happened." and 80% of that shit DID happen... just to show how predictable yet fucked up and spontaneous it was. lol

oh man... so sad they didn't try hard enough...

yeah. the guy scientist who's the main character's bf for the whole movie ends up having sex with the experiment, and it ends up turning into like a bat/dragon after it orgasms. XD
