-- Abridged summary of subjects conversion --
So indie games are big right now and a lot of the young wealth in the world grew up with video games. A large portion of them favoring the afore mentioned indie scene, it means we’ve had an increase in drone orders relating to them. I wouldn’t be surprised if we have some order a regular goose soon.
I digress though. The buyer in question this time around was looking for a drone themed around Ori from Ori and the Blind forest, we had [redacted] play through the game to give us an idea on the design and potential training regime. He seemed to enjoy it enough. Additionally it was one of the rare requests for a male drone, something that seems to have given the recovery team a laugh.
They tracked down one of the potential targets in our database, a Paul Cortez, and monitored him for the usual couple of months. Honestly there wasn’t much to say about him. 26 years old, lived along in a rented apartment, worked a dead end office job…I almost feel like we did him a favor by removing him from that cycle. The crew was as professional as ever a quick tranq dose as he entered his apartment made life easy for them. They then set the place ablaze making it look like an electrical fire fake, untraceable, body and all.
As for the initial setup and training Cortez hardly put up any resistance, largely it was just begging not to be hurt, it’s been a while since we’ve had such a passive subject. His cell was set up according to our initial concepts. With the Ori character being small and very hunched we actually lowered the roof plating and fitted him with a shock collar the was sent out a painful jolt any time it detected his back straightening. The planner say it will help reinforce the correct posture.
Of course we subjected him to the usual breaking techniques. Sleep deprivation, withholding food and water till he complied with simple orders, playing forest noises at extremely loud volumes to aid in the prevention of sleep and seeing if it would have any effect on his mood. Of course we Ori in the game is quite acrobat so we also forced him through months of rigorous acrobatic routines and exercises initially without the suit but in the final two months with the suit. Towards the end he was very pliable mentally and the constant stimulation inside the suit helped a tremendous amount. We even subjected him to long watching periods of the game being played and increased said stimulation to associate said actions with pleasure. We also managed to completely remove language from his personality, instead he’s far more emotive physically which is in line with out predictions.
We’ll be shipping him off in a week or two
